Your Role
The Digital Specialist is a role within Avenue’s growing digital marketing and account services team and will own the account management and execution of client marketing efforts across digital platforms, supporting Avenue’s three core service pillars: Paid Advertising (including paid social), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media.


The Digital Specialist's primary focus will be to develop and execute paid social strategies and initiatives across all social platforms, in addition to implementing best practices and collaborating with team members and clients to drive results. This includes making key decisions on behalf of clients and the agency, maintaining a high level of awareness of client activities, detail-oriented time management and professional communication with client contacts, internal team members and agency partners. This role will also lead the day-to-day account management of select client accounts.


This role supports the Avenue team by leading strategy meetings internally and for clients, team education and professional development and upholding all relevant digital and social media certifications to produce cutting edge work for clients.

This is a salaried, exempt creative professional position.


Typical duties include

  • Paid campaign strategy and management across Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads and more.
  • Leading the account management and execution of all client marketing efforts across digital platforms, supporting Avenue’s three core service pillars: Paid Advertising (including paid social), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media.
  • Copywriting and content creation for social media, search engine optimization (SEO), digital and paid advertising initiatives.
  • Leading and managing effective client relationship development, growth and strategy in all areas of digital marketing.
  • Providing exceptional, timely and effective written and verbal communication with clients as the day-to-day account lead, exhibiting professional internal and external client communications and correspondence.
  • Leading and facilitating client meetings, calls and strategic planning sessions.
  • Project/time management and preparation of client and account service-related strategy deliverables, campaign documents and other records such as meeting agendas and notes.
  • Leading the strategy and execution of internal and external agency marketing initiatives, as guided by the team and CEO.
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned.
  • Works independently with minimal direction; uses own professional judgment and discretion in decisions of importance to Avenue and its clients; performs creative work directly related to our clients.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in business, marketing, communications or other relevant field.
  • Professional background in digital marketing, social media, PR or advertising.
  • Paid Social Ads experience required.
  • Prior agency experience a plus.
  • Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint certifications a plus.
  • Superior writing, communication, creative and analysis skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and partners.
  • Ability to work, problem solve and innovate autonomously and with a team.
  • Ability to seamlessly organize and manage multiple projects and team needs.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Google Drive. Other technical, design and creative programs a plus.
  • Experience with project and content management platforms such as Asana, Trello, Harvest, Buffer, Slack, etc.
  • Native to social media platforms such as, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
  • Ability to travel locally for client business as needed.
