Description

The FMS Employee Relations and Engagement Manager is a true leader that takes pride in being part of the FMS Story and instills that pride in others. FMS Managers enjoy working directly with team members and take pride in seeing folks succeed. The Employee Relations and Engagement Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of their assigned HR functions. Working with other FMS leaders, the Employee Relations and Engagement Manager is able to appropriately handle employee relations issues both with frontline team members and FMS Leadership as well as create excitement around FMS employee engagement programs and execute those programs well. Most importantly, they help create a positive, team-oriented environment and are champions of FMS initiatives, values, and mission.

The Employee Relations and Engagement Manager reports to the appropriate Sr. HR Manager or Director and understands that this position requires second shift working hours with some flexibility. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Understanding your role in Human Resources as it pertains to confidentiality and modeling that behavior for others
• Acting as a key component to company and departmental success by developing positive relationships with FMS employees at all levels of the organization and participating in HR Team and Leadership Team activities
• Support all FMS employee events and initiatives
• Being available when needed and contributing to team work exhibiting a “can do attitude”
• Communicating company programs, initiatives and developmental opportunities to others with enthusiasm
• Working directly with your leader on the successful management of Employee Relations issues. 
• Working directly with your Leader on the successful execution of our employee engagement programs and those programs that have a direct benefit to FMS as defined by our social mission and goals.

• Regularly identifying and recognizing FMS team members and leaders that demonstrate and support our employee engagement programs

• Participating in interviewing, orientation and job placement when needed, as well as, other HR team needs
• Recruiting Good People wherever you go
• Promoting FMS to Good People wherever you go

• Understanding and teaching how clean spaces impact clean environments therefore promoting healthy communities
• Support FMS Operations in the field with employee engagement initiatives.
• Understanding your support role within the organization and helping to identify needs and areas for improvement as relates to employee relations, engagement and safety.
o Actively participating in the strategy to improve those areas
o Communicating and working through those strategies with FMS leadership and team members
o Collecting, analyzing and reporting data
• Assisting the HR team wherever needed as required and as directed by your supervisor

• Providing your manager reports and data as required

An FMS Manager must be able to:
Lift, push or pull objects up to 40lbs.
Spend many hours a day traveling between facilities and walking
Be flexible in their working hours
Be on their feet for extended amounts of time
Reach and bend with some regularity
Work in difficult environments
Utilize FMS software as required, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a smartphone
