FMS pbc is an innovative, Kentucky-based professional janitorial service with a diverse customer and employee base within 125 miles of Louisville. We are a for-profit social enterprise and strongly believe that our financial success is linked to our internal culture and external impact in the neighborhoods we serve. Our goal is to continue our 19 year run of continuous growth, increase profitability, and serve our employees and neighborhoods by addressing social issues around physical and financial health.

The Challenge

Over the last two years, FMS has seen a set of challenges arise that points to our need to reevaluate and innovate our approach to managing and executing services consistently for our large customer base. With almost 900 employees, our innovative culture has allowed us to grow and cultivate a strong employee base, but our operational systems and accountability structure has not kept up.

FMS pbc needs to implement a sustainable, simple, effective, and consistent operational system that is in alignment with our values and the strong culture we have worked so hard to create.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will develop strong working relationships with FMS team members and will serve as the integrator for the leadership team. He/she is the glue for the organization, holds everything together, drives continuous progress, is accountable for the P&L results, executes the strategic plan, holds the Leadership Team accountable, and is a steady and fair force in the organization.

The successful candidate also creates organizational clarity, drives effective communication, and consistency. He/she will operate from a logistical, operational perspective complimenting the CEO’s vision by filtering and operationalizing ideas. He/she will drive results through reaching resolution, overcoming obstacles, focus, team unity, prioritization, and follow-through.

Additionally, a successful candidate will:

• be a strategic executive with significant business and management experience
• have experience in leading and managing Senior Level Leadership Teams
• be skillful in creating and implementing strategies and systems for mid-large size companies and overseeing multiple departments
• foster teamwork and collaboration
• understand organizational dynamics

• understand that an organization can be profitable and still take care of their employees and communities
• understand the value of FMS’ mission and how it relates to good business
• be passionate about Traction and leading through EOS

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• strategic planning and EOS oversight
• overseeing all daily operations
• overseeing the FMS budget
• motivating the FMS leadership team
• insuring FMS’ values and mission are reflected in every aspect of our company
• acting as spokesperson and representing FMS
• incorporating innovation and driving growth
