SOLAR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
Powur is looking for an ambitious, self-motivated and highly energetic person to join our Business Development team and help us grow our solar installer network across the nation. REQUIREMENTS
- REQUIRED: Minimum 3 years experience in a business development role in a SOLAR, energy or related industry required OR a sales role in a similar industry
- Proven sales experience
- Experience working with CRM’s (Podio and Power BI a bonus)
- Excellent skills with Google Suite, Google Sheets and Google Docs
- Experience with telephone sales and/or virtual sales
- Must have excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills
- Ability to quickly build rapport and trust over the phone or video conferencing
- Ability to deliver effective presentations to potential partners
- Sets goals and objectives, tracks progress, reevaluates and sets new targets
- Must understands the importance of setting and tracking KPIs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to properly track a sales pipeline
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:
- Generate potential installation partner leads through a variety of sources including: referrals through existing partner network (including distributors, manufacturers, other installers, lenders, etc.), leveraging the internet through manual web-search, making outbound cold calls and reviewing software driven installer lead-generation marketing campaigns
- Qualify new prospective installation partner leads through a variety of sources including online reviews, conducting initial discovery calls, reference checks, financial review, installer SOP and process review
- Recruit qualified prospective installation partners through strategic presentation of the company’s installation partner value proposition and the benefits of partnering with us.
- Conduct initial installer partner negotiations of the Master Subcontractor Agreement (MSA) by reviewing terms, process, pricing, adders etc.
- Introduce qualified prospective partners to the Business Development Manager for deeper partnership review if needed
- Conduct initial onboarding of installation partners with frequent updates. Act as a liaison between the installer and the operations team to ensure seamless communication.
- Keep accurate records of installer lead funnel through tracking sheets and/or project management software.
- Monitor current trends in the solar industry including, general news items, product innovation, business model evolution, competitors, regulation, governmental stimulus, etc.
- Ensure on-going attention to enhancing strong relationships with installers in order to build/maintain the credibility required to keep their business during times of risk and to serve as references for new accounts

- Salary range $40,000 to $55,000 USD DOE
