Experienced Ruby Developer job in Boulder

Dojo4 is hiring and Experienced Ruby Developer to join a team on a contract basis. This hire will be for a specific client project described below, however, if it’s a good fit there will very likely be other project work available, either subsequently or simultaneously, for this contractor. This contract is also a possible step toward a full-time hire by our client.

Project Description

• A data stream collection and management system. It collects aircraft attribute and position data from multiple sources and merges that data into a common format to generate individual aircraft flight reports.
• An aircraft-ecosystem master system. This is a system that is going to have authoritative data on every aircraft in the world, who is responsible for those aircraft, and the institutions that manage all the airspaces.
• A bill generation and payment collection system. Using the flight information for all the aircraft, and the intersection of those flight paths with the legal airspaces on the planet, it will generate per-flight, per-country bills for the responsible party of the aircraft and collect payment on those bills.

Primary Responsibilities

• implementing new graphql query/mutation endpoints
• looking at existing data quality issues and how to catch / report them
• increasing test coverage
• setting up test datasets
• other ruby and rails related implementations as needed
• Technologies Used:
• Ruby 2.7, Rails 6
• PostgreSQL / PostGIS
• Fluentd
• GraphQL (both server and client)
• Nuxtjs
• Vue
• Docker
• AWS - mostly EC2, RDS, ECS, SQS, S3

Contract Parameters (hours, rate, etc.)

• 40 - 80 hours / month for a few months, at a minimum
• $125/hour
• Work entirely asynchronous except for the following meetings:
• 5-15 min check-in meeting on MWF at 11am MST
• 15-30 min IPM on Tuesdays at 10:30am MST
