Director of Information Technology
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for all aspects of developing, implementing and maintaining technology initiatives within the Company, assuring high performance, consistency, reliability and scalability of all technology offerings. This individual maintains existing enterprise systems, while providing direction in all technology- related issues in support of information operations and the Company’s vision. The Director of IT is responsible for building a high performing team in a complex changing environment and must have proven successes in collaboration, communication, critical thinking and future planning.


Location and Travel
This position is based in Concord, Massachusetts or Irvine, California and requires extensive travel.


Key Job Responsibilities
• Drives technology strategy for all IT infrastructure areas
• Partners with business functions to understand and meet IT requirements
• Hires, trains, develops and motivates IT resources aligned with the business growth plans
• Optimizes partnerships to augment current capabilities
• Prepares and manages budgets for technology and services purchases
• Develops and track metrics to assess organizational performance
• Leads building of scalable processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Stays up to date with cybersecurity threats, trends, and technology solutions
• Leads strategic planning and execution around IT Security
• Effectively frames complex issues for decision makers and peers
• Oversees the design and implementation of systems, services, processes, and policies
• Manages outsourced service providers and works directly with outside vendors to negotiate services and product agreements
• Participates in third party and internal quality audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and reporting involving Information Technology
• Establishes policies, goals, budgets, plans, and procedures related to areas of responsibility
• Analyzes the costs, value and risks of information technologies to advise management and suggest solutions
• Establish ongoing change management capabilities to support major innovation and transformation programs
• Works with the Company’s Chief Compliance Officer and Data Privacy Officer in establishing IT services frameworks and best practices in accordance with federal and state privacy laws and standards
• Supports the maintenance of the ERP and CRM systems and implementation of new modules
• Manages and monitors the installation, configuration and maintenance of network and network infrastructure; monitors security; updates system documentation
• Maintains both local and SaaS software
• Responsible for development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
• Works in accordance with quality system procedures
Required Education and Experiences
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems management, or equivalent experience
• 8-12 years of experience in leadership positions in IT
• Ability to develop and communicate IT infrastructure strategy
• Proven ability to execute projects with high levels of customer satisfaction and adoption
• Track record of developing IT professionals, building teams and financial acumen
• Experience with cloud technologies, digital/mobile and migrations
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with ability to manage large volume of projects
• Strong partnering skills with all areas of the business
• Effective influencing and negotiating skills when working with vendors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Proficiency with business finances including analyzing data, identifying trends and business recommendations.
• Exceptional attention to details combined with strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and strong follow up skills
Qualifications
• Multi-site, international experience preferred
• Preferred: Salesforce applications and integration, Experience in ISO standards, Software Development Lifecycle (SLC) processes, IT Validation practices, SQA practices, and GxP, SOX, HIPAA, etc. regulations around IT systems
