Director, Supply Chain
Support Beta Bionics’ mission by ensuring effective operations and customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and staying within budget.


Location and Travel
The Director, Supply Chain role is located in the Irvine, CA area. This position requires up to 20% travel; some travel will be international.


Key Job Responsibilities
• Directs activities of functional groups listed above in accordance with quality system procedures.
• Manages and directs employees and functions of sourcing, global logistics, and global distribution to ensure customer satisfaction, effective operations, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures in compliance with our Quality System requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations including compliance with EN ISO 13485, Medical Device Quality Standards.
• Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental policies and procedures (DOPs).
• Oversees and manages OEM relationships, OEM inventory and procurement activities.
• Leads supplier contract creation and negotiations.
• Participates in third party and internal quality audits involving Operations. Assists with related corrective/preventive action planning and implementation.
• Establishes and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and Forms related to the Supply Chain.
• Ensures the supply chain complies with applicable state, federal, and international regulations and standards.
• Establishes policies, goals, budgets, plans, and procedures related to areas of responsibility.
• Hires, trains, motivates and develops Supply Chain staff.
• Ensures appropriate communication processes are established within and across functional groups. Communicates information related to quality management system effectiveness.
• Works in accordance with quality system procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Education and Experiences
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the medical device or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of operations, production, quality and customer service within the medical device industry.
• Proficiency with business finances including analyzing data, identifying trends and business recommendations.
Qualifications
• Experience leading pricing and commercial contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with medical device industry regulatory requirements and others that may be applicable to the business.
• Experience with enterprise-wide operating systems.
• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple and occasional competing deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with other employees and supervisor(s).
• Ability to work in a highly detailed environment where mental focus and accuracy of work output is essential.
• Excellent communications skills, including ability to represent the company to both internal and external audiences.
• Strong team building/leadership skills.
• Must be highly organized and able to execute tactics in a timely manner.
