 Exciting new role in a fast-growing organisation working with responsible businesses. The B Corp movement encourages businesses to manage their impacts on society and the environment with as much rigour as they manage their profits.

The B Corp Movement
Certified B Corps seek to redefine success in business by putting profit on a par with social and environmental impact. B Corps manage the impact of their entire business through the B Impact Assessment and reach high standards of social and environmental performance. B Corps also amend their governing documents to consider the impact of their decisions on people and planet. The B Corp community is a global group of businesses who provide leadership by their commitments to people and planet and create examples of success for others to follow. There are now 4000 B Corps in over 70 countries and covering 150 sectors, including Patagonia, The Body Shop, Tony’s Chocolonely, Triodos Bank, WeTransfer, Alpro, Yoni and Dopper.

Stichting B Lab Europe
Since the B Corp movement was established in Europe in 2015, it has gained remarkable traction with 600 certified B Corps, of which 130 in the Benelux. Stichting B Lab Europe is a non for profit with an active Board, and coordinates the 9 Country Partners across Europe. The Amsterdam based team is a hub for the European and global movement, housing the team, as well as some of the global standards analysts and team Benelux.

Team Benelux
We now seek to expand our Benelux team to help deliver on the ever growing interest in the B Corp movement that we are seeing in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. The Benelux team is small, friendly, hard-working and committed to changing how business operates. The team works closely with the Global - and European B Lab team and the 9 active Country Partners (Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Portugal and Poland). Team Benelux is responsible for growing a thriving BNL B Corp community, working with key stakeholders in the ecosystem, delivering the strategy, fostering new partnerships and initiating activities that create value to B Corps and the
movement across Benelux.


The role of Growth & Certification manager
The B Corp movement in the Benelux is continuing to grow at pace with an increasing interest, also from multinational companies. This is an exciting position inside a dynamic international organisation that will play a pivotal role ensuring that the Benelux is set up for scale.

To support our growth ambitions and boost the conversion rates we are looking for a dedicated person that will lead our growth efforts and delivering an exceptional client journey through to securing B Corp Certification. This role has one report at the moment, the Certification Lead with whom he/she
will work closely.

Growth & Certification strategy
• Responsible for a sound Growth & Certification strategy, based on sound market analysis, with clear planning / efficient processes to ensure a successful implementation
• Forecasting, financial modelling (according to price changes) and capacity allocation

Growth and business development
This part of the role will focus on business development activities that increase the reach of the B Corp movement and generate visibility for B Corp tools/ offerings in the Benelux market
• Coordinate existing - and develop new BD activities and online resources
• Presenting and delivering training on B Corp and the Certification process / B Corp tools to businesses (specifically to the C-Suite)
• In close collaboration with the Executive director, identify opportunities to present and amplify our message externally (eg. keynotes / panels / incompany events)
• Managing the B Leaders Business course program with key partners in the Benelux region and cultivating a thriving B Leaders community
• Identify opportunities to create new service offerings with companies / network organizations that grow the B Corp movement
• Support the work of the executive director in strategic partnerships that increase the awareness of the B Corp movement and drive new business

Certification
Overseeing all the certification work in the Benelux, including a team member’s work on the pipeline management and analysis.
• This includes setting up clear workstreams and distribution of work / responsibilities with the Certification Lead to ensure consistent and engaged account management. The Certification lead is responsible for the day to day interaction with Key accounts and to a certain extend with Large Enterprises.
• Oversee / monitor the pipeline and proactively reach out to Large Enterprise prospects in the pipeline based on BNL’s key sectors- and prioritisation model
- Work closely with the Executive director in leading the initial conversations with
Executive teams of Key accounts and Large enterprises interested in certification and decide what product offering suits best and share proposals
- Oversee the discovery and scoping phase outreach with Large companies
- Develop and commercialize new certification offerings / products for Key Accounts
• Oversee and lead the improvement of processes / structures / resources needed to efficiently work with incoming requests / inquiries regarding certification process and BIA related questions from prospects
• Initiate an effective Recertification program to ensure the smooth transitioning of B Corps into their recertification

Collaborations
• Liaising closely with the Standards Analysts (independent Trust that reviews B Corp assessments), B Lab EU’s Evaluation Manager and Multinational Project manager to manage issues and capacity
• Collaborating with B Lab global and EU team members to bring together relevant information, share best practice and work on joint projects
• Align efforts with the Certification lead and Community & MarkComms team to optimize workstreams and to effectively manage activities/ processes
• Work closely with our Belgian partner for a coordinated Business development & Certification approach and process in support of a growing Belgian B Corp movement

Data management
• Analyse salesforce reports and the overall certification pipeline by providing monthly overview and insights into pipeline management (to assess composition, size, trends, sticking points, and conversion rates). Identify key areas for intervention, to highlight bottlenecks and suggest actions that could tackle this (informing and adopting the BNL certification strategy)
• Subject to further developments, acquire expertise on supplementary data analysis platforms - Tableau, Data.World and any other data platforms of relevance


Skills and experience
Essential
Native Dutch speaker excels in spoken and written English
• Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a relevant field eg. commercial / sales, consultancy, corporate (we welcome applications from people with different professional backgrounds)
• Ability to develop and implement strategies and processes for more effective work
• Experience in managing multiple relationships within an organisation, managing different work-strands simultaneously
• Ability to summarise data easily and analyse patterns and bottlenecks
• Commercial / business development mindset with a clear focus on targets
• Experience in Salesforce or similar CRMs

Desirable
• Experience developing new products and services that meet an identified need
• Strong presenter of complex concepts, ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Technically savvy - highly proficient in Google packages, Excel and Powerpoint
• Client-facing and presentation experience, engaging with senior stakeholders at a range ofdifferent organisations

Compensation and Further Information
• Reports to: Executive director BNL
• Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
• Flexible working arrangements: to be adapted as needed due to COVID 19
• Contract: 1-year fixed term contract with the intention to convert into a permanent position
• Salary: commensurate with experience and in line with Dutch non-profit sector

Interview Process
