Position Summary

This position offers the opportunity to learn about Mission-related Investing (MRI) through research, collection, curation, and development. The position also offers the opportunity to learn and Gender Lens Investing (GLI) and the managers who participate in GLI through research and collection of data.

Working closely with the Chair and Founding Partner in all cases highlighting key Mission-related Investing (MRI) best practices, which may include any of the following:

Ø Research and identify current and historical Foundation regulatory bodies and key elements of regulations
Ø Research state specific regulatory statutes
Ø Define various non-profit entities
Ø Collect Foundation governance, investment management and consulting best practice resources
Ø Identify key Endowment and Foundation resources
Ø Work with the Chair to identify key topics and documents for an internal library
Ø Assist in the drafting of an MRI Investment Policy Statement (IPS) template
Ø Support the development of Foundation training outline and modules
Ø Contact GLI Asset Managers to collect and update their GLI data
Ø Conduct research to identify new GLI assets managers
Ø Prepare graphs and analysis of GLI data

Supervisory Responsibilities
o None

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ø Understanding of financial markets preferred but not required
Ø Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
Ø Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Ø Excellent organizational, communication (oral and written) and computer skills
Ø Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

Education and Experience
Ø Demonstrated interest in Mission-related Investing and social justice and equity
Ø Certification, Graduate or MBA program enrollment in finance, wealth management, financial planning or related field preferred
