Why this role?
Next Street is hiring a part-time Grants Compliance Manager to strengthen Next Street’s contracting, reporting, and auditing processes to ensure compliance with an existing multi-million dollar government contract as well as future contract opportunities. Next Street is looking for an experienced professional well-versed in grant compliance best practices to develop our nascent compliance capabilities. This role will be responsible for executing financial reporting for Next Street and its partner organizations, managing single or program specific audit requirements, documenting policies and procedures for the current fiscal year contract, and driving the contracting process for the next fiscal year funding. The existing contract will be funded in part by federal Coronavirus Relief Funding and so applicants with experience working with CARES act funding are preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about compliance, enjoys building new functions and is looking for long-term leadership opportunities. This role will be part-time (15 - 20 hours / week) through the end of the year (December 2021), with high likelihood to extend and potential to be our first full-time compliance hire with the role evolving beyond a focus on government-based contracts. Depending on candidate interest and experience, this role may be given the opportunity to create thought leadership and advise partners on their compliance capabilities.

This role will work in close partnership with the project delivery team and Next Street’s Finance + Administration team. Experience with US federal, state, and regional government contracting with multiple non-profit and / or for-profit partners is required.

Your work will consist of:

  • Other compliance-related duties as requested (can range from cash flow projections to close out of contracts)

  • Experience managing compliance for US federal, state, and regional contracts
  • Experience establishing and executing compliance functions, including reporting and policy documentation and management
