We are currently seeking a full-time Sr. Media Buyer with experience in buying traditional TV and radio. The Sr. Media Buyer position plans, buys & manages strategy and execution of paid media campaigns across multiple channels, specifically broadcast TV and Radio. Experience utilizing Advantage for purchasing broadcast is preferred. The right candidate will have a diverse perspective with strong interpersonal skills and will be an inventive, creative and enthusiastic problem solver who can work both collaboratively and independently.

This position provides the experience to work closely with our internal creative teams allowing strong integration of both media knowledge and creativity to solve our client’s challenges. When working for a small agency, it allows you to have more exposure to clients and play a bigger role in evolving campaigns to match changing media behaviors. Currently, this position is a work-from-home/hybrid working environment.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Working with the planning team to establish media goals, objectives and strategies
  • Creating custom TV and radio programs and negotiating spot buys that deliver against client goals
  • Negotiation of all TV and radio buys
  • Presenting plans to clients
  • Utilizing the advantage software to send out avails to vendors, purchase media and reconcile all vendor invoices
  • Monitoring and optimizing performance
  • Providing campaign post reports to clients
  • Maintaining vendor relationships and staying current on new and custom sponsorship opportunities
  • Staying current on the evolving media landscape and developing strategies on how traditional and digital video and audio work together to maximize reach and frequency
  • Being an expert in video and audio for our clients and understanding the evolving media landscape between traditional and streaming/digital

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience developing and purchasing traditional TV and radio
  • Preferred experience in Advantage for TV and radio buying
  • Ability to think strategically and critically, anticipating the output and goals of all projects.
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to multi-task, being able to prioritize work and deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of the current media landscape with knowledge of the evolving consumer media consumption trends.
  • Strong communication skills both with client contacts, media vendors and internal departments
