About the Role:

Sezzle is looking for an outstanding Quality Engineer Intern to assist in implementing test strategy and automation solutions. We are looking for engineers with room to grow to help us design and build great code, deliver products with a great user experience, and to help us build a strong quality engineering practice.

We are looking for an intern that can start during the Summer 2022 Internship program.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans alongside product designers and product engineers.
  • Implement automated tests, and supporting test infrastructure.
  • Partner with product engineers and product designers to ensure test coverage.
  • Contribute improvements to test framework architecture and test implementation.
  • Learn best practices in code health, testing, testability and maintainability (clean code, page object pattern, test pyramid, etc.).
  • Recommend improvements into overall best practices, including software design, testability, quality and delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of coursework completed (Junior)
  • Excited about the opportunity to work and grow with an early stage startup
  • Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • 1+ years experience with a programming language (Go, JavaScript, Python, Java, C, etc.)
  • Prefer some experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab)
  • Interested in UI & API test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Postman, etc.)
