Our founding team draws on years of experience in public policy, law, consumer finance, and engineering to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our generation.

We are a Certified B Corporation® as part of our commitment to helping all borrowers improve their financial health through better repayment strategies. We recently raised our Series A and are backed by a team of world-class investors, including General Catalyst, NextView, Greycroft, Foundation Capital, Story Ventures, QED Investors, and Flourish Ventures.

Your Role

At Summer, your role will be to improve the team’s performance and execution across multiple areas while owning key verticals in finance, operations, and people. You will have the opportunity to showcase creativity and initiative as you implement best practices across a fast-growing team.

  • Manage financial processes, including accounting/budgeting and financial reporting
  • Assist with vendor agreements, client contracts, and business legal needs
  • Support team growth by improving recruiting processes and managing external agencies
  • Develop Summer’s human capital by structuring trainings and development plans across roles
  • Improve strategic planning processes and meeting effectiveness
  • Coordinate internal and external company communications, including with investors and other key stakeholders

This position will report directly to Summer’s Chief Operating Officer and collaborate with the CEO and the executive team.

Recommended Experience

We are seeking a dedicated operator with 5+ years of experience in dynamic work environments, including startups, consulting, or corporate strategy. Our team will evaluate your track record of working flexibly across teams and improving the growth and effectiveness of organizations. Familiarity with financial reporting and recruiting tools would be a plus. Finally, we are excited to work with teammates who are equally passionate about applying their talents to tackle a major social issue of our time.

Values + Benefits

We're proud to be a mission-driven company with an inclusive culture. Our greatest asset is the set of values our team strives to embody every day: empathy, diversity, growth, determination, humility, and fun. Read more about what these mean to us at https://www.meetsummer.org/careers.

We also offer significant equity allocations, healthcare coverage, and flexible vacation/PTO.
