Senior Associate, Art Director (All Offices) job in Kansas City

THE OPPORTUNITY

This individual will be responsible for the conception, design, and execution of innovative visual materials for print/digital advertising and collateral uses. Through passion and energy, his/her creative projects will consistently satisfy client’s and agency’s objectives, both visually and financially. Additionally, this person may have the chance to supervise others and engage with clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Working primarily with the Creative Director, this individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks, such as:

• Working directly with the Creative Directors, Copywriters, and Strategists to bring conceptual ideas to reality through the creation of original artwork.
• Working across multiple mediums, the Art Director is responsible for telling the story through creative expression while adhering to client brand standards.
• The Art Director is responsible for a given client roster to which they must maintain the branded look and feel.
• Understands designing for digital deliverables, including social media, email, and web.
• Instills passion within all work and seeks to infuse original ideas to others within the agency.
• Coordinating high quality deliverables on time and on budget working together with Project Management to communicate expectations.
• Understands the appropriate time needed per task and assists with budget validation.
• Procures and nurtures relationships with external vendors and helps with the selection process.
• Working across Creative & Technology to support and monitor the output of accurate, consistent materials.

Additionally, the ideal candidate has these qualifications:

• 5-7+ years’ experience
• Prior roles in a creative and/or agency setting with demonstrated increasing responsibility
• Bachelors or graduate degree, preferably in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, communications
• Willingness and availability to travel
• Exceptional communication skills – written, informal spoken, and formal presentation style
• Multifaceted experience including video production, digital and social media
• Demonstrated success in working with teams, collaborating, and working towards a common goal
• Positive outlook, collaborative spirit and passion for producing exceptional deliverables
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to: candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experiences and may fall outside the range shown. • Expected Compensation Range: $58,000 - $110,000

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS

The physical activity required of this position includes standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, talking, hearing and use of repetitive motion. Light work is required of this position, occasionally lifting or moving objects between 10-20 pounds. The visual acuity of this position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle. This position will not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
