About the Role:

Sezzle is looking for an experienced partnerships sales rep to contribute to all aspects of Sezzle’s partnerships strategy. Your responsibilities will include identifying and creating new partnership opportunities, maximizing value from existing partnership relationships, marketing and promoting our partners, serving as primary point of contact and account manager for key partners, and generally helping Sezzle to build a best-in-class eCommerce partnership program. In addition, you will be asked to contribute to and manage other initiatives and strategic projects to help Sezzle achieve its goals and build the business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with strategic partnerships, eCommerce platforms, digital agencies, eCommerce technology companies, in-depth payments ecosystem knowledge and in-store solutions. A general understanding of eCommerce technologies and experience with payments are both required.

This is a full-time position, preferably based out of MN headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the partnerships team exhibiting detailed communication and collaboration skills
  • Identifying, evaluating, and engaging partners and finding growth opportunities
  • Working closely with the tech team to develop new integrations and helping create new partner-driven product solutions
  • Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to promote our partnerships and drive value for our merchants
  • Negotiating complex partnership agreements and manage executive-level relationships with partners
  • Planning and coordinating partner events -meetups, lunch & learns, conferences
  • Building internal partnership processes and best practices
  • Analyzing and reporting on partnership program success internally to leadership and externally to partners
  • Managing projects and relationships that require strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of business development experience at a payments company, eCommerce platform, technology company, or a digital agency, strategic partnerships experience a plus
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce and POS industry landscape and key players involving eCommerce technologies, platforms and experience with payments is required
  • The candidate brings a deep and robust contact list of innovative partners in the payments, platform, tech partner and BNPL space
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to creatively construct partner deals
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Entrepreneurial drive
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Track record of working with a cross-functional team to move projects forward
  • Skilled at quantitative analysis and leveraging data to make decisions
