General Summary

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for implementing and attaining company sales targets and working to expand sales in the wholesale grocery marketplace.  The primary role of the Senior Sales Manager is to use the Company’s resources to expand wholesale account base and promote sales of the Provisions portfolio and associated brands such as Long Root Ale.  The Senior Sales Manager will collaborate with the company’s other distribution channels and work closely with Provisions leadership to coordinate execution and growth while maintaining margin and brand presence in market.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage sales team and available resources to provide best in class service to customers while meeting sales goals for Provisions.   
  • Work closely with Senior Director of Provisions to set sales strategy and collaborate with sales team to execute.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing wholesale customers who wish to carry Provisions products with a key focus on natural and organic grocery accounts. 
  • Work closely with brokers/distributors to maximize sales, customer satisfaction and maintain training & coordination across sales network. 
  • Oversee Provisions’ retail sales and marketing team and implement strategy for continued growth within Patagonia’s retail space.
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to ensure sales team is equipped with materials and information required to effectively promote products.
  • Determine calendar planning on an annual basis that accommodates the company and wholesale customer needs taking into consideration events, trade shows, and deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates and monthly reports of sales attainment and sales growth potential. 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds for up to 100 feet.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a variety of transportation methods. 

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Have passion for the mission of Patagonia Provisions and making a change in food/agriculture.
  • Minimum 8-10 years sales experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Experience in alcohol/beverage, natural products, grocery, and outdoor industry preferred.
  • Strong strategic perspective and ability to identify and prioritize sales opportunities. 
  • Proven track record of increasing responsibility, team leadership and attainment of sales targets.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and support cross channel promotion.
  • Able to effectively prioritize workload and work independently in a startup environment.
