Their world-changing water quality analysis device is helping municipalities avoid disasters like Flint, helping agriculture test for important minerals and harmful pesticides and helping manufactures ensure that the water waste they produce meets requirements for wastewater quality.

About the Finance Manager Position:

You’ll work closely with the KETOS CFO as their Finance Manager.  You are curious, driven, skilled and a collaborative partner.  You have good interpersonal skills, strong analytical ability and excellent attention to detail. You understand finance and accounting but you also have business acumen to understand the intricacies of choices upon business growth. This role provides broad exposure to executive management and key decision makers across the company. You must be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting, Planning & Forecasting: 

  • Own/continuously improve the Ketos financial reporting.  
  • Be finance owner for Salesforce.com (SFDC).  Ensure revenue cycle (pre and post transaction close) information is being correctly captured “in-system”.  Use reporting tools to develop/ continuously improve automated financial and operational reporting from SFDC.  
  • Implement/own reporting tool sources from underlying systems (SFDC, Accounting (currently QuickBooks)
  • Maintain/improve the Ketos Financial Model that will drive optimal decision making.  Transition model from Excel to reporting/modelling tool
  • Actively participate in corporate planning including budgeting, forecasting, project and long-range planning.  
  • Analyze historical, current, and projected financial data for use in planning, forecasting, and management decision making.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting and KPI’s to management including both actuals vs budget variance analysis and deep dives when observing abnormal trends.
  • Support CFO on long-term financial projections, monthly/quarterly board & investor reporting, etc.  
  • Collaborate with CFO/ CEO on expansion activities (fundraising, M&A, etc.).
  • Manages and directs company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
  • Implement/develop/manage operating policies and procedures that promote company vision and fiscal soundness.

Accounting/Compliance:  

  • Manage outside accounting resources; including tax prep and returns.  Ensure accurate and timely information to help make solid business decisions.  
  • Lead the monthly close review
  • Manages the payroll function (PEO) in conjunction with the People Operations Team

Business Partnering:  Build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to become a trusted advisor who highlights risks and spots opportunities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst ideally in Corporate Finance, FP&A or Investment Banking.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience with Quickbooks, Salesforce.com and Adaptive Insights (or equivalent tools)
  • Strong analytical skills.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of GAAP and financial statements.  CPA is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
  • Experience working at a start-up and/or fast-growing company.  
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
