Organic Acres, located at Main & 20th is a community market, providing our neighbourhood with the highest quality organic goods possible! Our shop offers a wide variety of the best organic and often local produce, bulk goods, groceries, meat, bread & dairy. Organic Acres is a part of the Be Fresh Local Market family, cultivated by SPUD.ca.

Organic Acres is looking for a Full-time Team Leader for our Main Street location (3603 Main Street). This shift is TBA, candidate must have open availability.

What you’ll do:


 


You are the person with the natural charm and smile, business know-how and communication skills to take any situation and turn it into a positive one. You will be the one knowledgeable about our products and food, have a good eye for keeping the Market in order and regularly updated to show off our unique and amazing groceries and fresh foods.



  • Manage the Market team and coach them how to provide the best service possible for customers

  • Ensure staff is taking appropriate breaks, and following established procedures

  • Delegate tasks accordingly. When it’s slow get things done! 

  • Provide an amazing customer experience by trying to wow everyone that comes in our doors

  • Inventory ordering

  • Cash out cafe accurately and safely

  • Help create a community vibe so people make us their regular, go-to for drinks, food and groceries

  • Bank deposits

  • Placing Spud order for next day

  • Check and answer emails

  • Handling float accurately

  • Help Kitchen when needed








What you'll need







  • Minimum 2 years’ team leader/management experience

  • Experience with grocery or produce is an asset.

  • Retail experience, merchandising experience is a plus! Make our lovely products shine!

  • Passion to wow customers and do your best to make them happy

  • Ability to resolve customer issues, troubleshoot and offer solutions

  • Delegation ability. Staff needs to be a team that gets things done as a unit!

  • Love for local, organic, sustainable food
