The Copywriter role is an incredible opportunity to help shape this special brand and develop it into an icon. We’re looking for a talented wordsmith who can help us continue to evolve our brand voice and develop copy for a variety of needs. This person should be able to write copy that’s fun and witty, but also make complicated subjects like sustainability feel simple and approachable.

What does the job entail?

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Allbirds voice and find joy in speaking to customers through written word

  • Write compelling brand-right copy across all marketing channels

  • Expert in editing, grammar and proofreading techniques

  • Partner with cross-functional teams  (brand, PR, web, creative, ad ops) to rapidly produce exquisite content that meets brand and business priorities

What kind of person are we looking for?

You love language, can slip into the Allbirds voice like a chameleon, and are adept at working across multiple mediums, including web, emails, retailer assets, packaging, video scripts, direct mail, advertising, and more.

More practical skills needed:

  • 6+ years in a copywriting role

  • Experience writing for a lifestyle/consumer brand  

  • BA in English, Journalism, or Creative Writing

  • Someone who thinks big and asks earth-shattering questions, loves collaborating and getting scrappy

  • Can work independently, and is stickler for details and deadlines
