About the Role:

As an IT Deployment Engineer focused on FarmOps at AppHarvest, you will join a team at the forefront of reinventing sustainable agriculture by deploying new and innovative solutions which enable increased productivity for greenhouse operations, taking it from an advanced farm to a factory for food.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with a growing team of technologists and greenhouse specialists to install, update and troubleshoot automated operations solutions
  • Become a subject matter expert as it relates to greenhouse operations and actively participate in the shaping of future automation solutions
  • Coordinate technical and operational processes with onsite personnel, including updating and training for newly deployed equipment
  • Oversee and maintain mechanical and electrical sensors, controls cabinets, networked equipment, custom mobile application and related components
  • Assist with the onsite collection, analysis and presentation of information critical to the design of solutions including performance data, mechanical dimensions, and process steps

What We’re Looking For:

  • University Degree, B.S. or Masters, in Engineering, Project Management, or Computer Science or related field
  • Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills, with a sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to implement a wide range of sensors and automated equipment and create documentation for deployment procedures
  • Broad software and networking familiarity including desktop and mobile applications, data manipulation, basic scripting, ethernet networking protocols and security
  • Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM best practices
  • Experienced producing deliverables under traditional project approaches and agile methodologies
