Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician in Internal Medicine to join our Pre-Operative Medicine Team in Portland, Oregon. Currently we have two pre-operative medicine clinics (one on the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center campus and the other at the Kaiser Westside Medical Center). We provide comprehensive outpatient medical evaluation and consultation for complex patients scheduled for surgery.  The evaluation involves a thorough history and physical, ordering appropriate labs and imaging, interpreting data and determining if patients are medically optimized prior to their surgical procedure.  We work closely with the surgeon, primary care physician and our consultants and help coordinate care prior to surgery. Our new associate will need a strong background in Internal Medicine, especially in assessing complex patients with multiple comorbid conditions. At least 5 years of experience working as an Internist or Hospitalist is recommended. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are expected. NO CALL DUTIES REQUIRED.
