About us
SPEKTRIX is a growing collection of creative problem solvers, tech enthusiasts and arts lovers whose mission is to help arts organizations be more successful. We’re doing this through a combination of cloud-based software and consultative customer support that empowers arts organizations to grow revenue, increase efficiency, and build stronger relationships with audiences. We are always looking for new ways to approach problems, share knowledge, and better serve our customers. You’d be joining a team of over 120, based across our New York, London and Manchester offices and working with over 500 arts organizations and hundreds of web agencies across North America and the UK.

The role
Spektrix clients’ websites are integral to their businesses and high quality integrations mean an online customer experience which informs, delights and generates revenue. Our clients use the Spektrix integration technologies (APIs, web components and pre-built web pages that can be embedded through their website) to collect data to develop customer relationships, sell tickets, memberships and merchandise, and raise funds through donations. See here for examples of what we offer.

We’re looking for someone to inform the way that clients in the arts and entertainment sectors use their websites and other integration tools for the better. You will be consistently marrying the technological capabilities and best practices of Spektrix with the creative design and forethought of our clients’ web developers.

You will be reporting into the Implementation function, playing a central role in providing technical guidance to web developers of new clients on how best to optimize the integration of Spektrix into their website, leveraging a combination of iFrames, Web Components, and our API.

This position will also work closely with Client Success to consult on website upgrade/rebuild projects for existing clients, help colleagues develop their skills and understanding, as well as act as a feedback loop to the Product team on areas where Spektrix integration options like the API can be enhanced.

Key Requirements
● Providing clear, timely and accurate technical support to clients, web developers and other partners using the Spektrix API and integration technologies.
● Monitoring, troubleshooting and responding to queries from web developers and other partners, solving many of these and proactively coaching team members to resolve them too.
● Leading web integration projects in collaboration with Spektrix clients and partners.
● Contributing to research and development of new web integration tools and features including identifying opportunities to improve our offering
● Develop a training and coaching programme for other client-facing team members to build confidence in troubleshooting integration queries.
● Proactively identifying opportunities for Spektrix clients to improve their online customer experiences.
● Working collaboratively across teams to ensure details and documentation on partners and integrations is up to date in our internal and client-facing information systems.
● Supporting the Business Development team in recommending integration solutions and partner product options to prospective clients
● Be a key member of the Ecosystem team which is responsible for all partner products, web and industry partners.
● Lead on initiatives to engage with partner web developers and other partners (e.g. regular proactive communications, webinars)
● Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business (in UK and North America) to build a strong global web developer network and share best practice

You should have:
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which can be used to convey complex and technical concepts over the phone and in writing
● Good familiarity with how websites work. You may have experience working with web developers, have some familiarity with a language like Javascript or CSS or have a good level of technical literacy and an interest in this area
● An ability to understand and use API documentation to address a user/business need
● An ability to identify solutions and articulate them to both technical and non-technical audiences
● An ability to apply existing skills and knowledge to solve new and complex problems
● Strong prioritisation skills
● An ability to work collaboratively to drive projects to completion and evaluation
● Stakeholder management skills (e.g. internal teams, clients and web partners)

We offer
● Generous paid time off policy
● Company paid medical, dental and vision insurance
● A matched 401(k)
● Professional development opportunities
● Flexible working options
● 2 volunteering days per year
● Sabbatical for long service
● Breakfast, snacks and hot & cold drinks (when in the office)
● Regular socials (currently virtual)

Remote Working Policy
Our offices are currently only open part time due to the Covid-19 pandemic through to April 2022. When it’s safe to do so, we will fully reopen our offices and adopt a hybrid work model. We are still working out exactly how this will work but for now we are asking people to assume around 20% of their time will be in one of our offices.

This means you will need a solid working from home setup. We’ll provide reasonable support and all the hardware you need to get started, but we do require that you have the following already in place:
● A quiet working space at home
● An internet connection that supports your participation in video calls and access to our systems and services

At Spektrix, we know that there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. Every individual brings unique lived and work experience and their own perspective, which rarely if ever maps exactly to a job description or set of criteria. That’s why we want to hear from you if this role excites you (and you feel you could be a good match) even if you don’t feel you meet 100% of the criteria.

Spektrix is committed to creating an inclusive work environment, where our team members are supported in expressing themselves and delivering their best work. So whoever you are, and whatever experience you can bring, please apply if this is a role that would make you excited to come into work every day.

The diversity of our team is hugely important to our working environment as it enables both individuals and Spektrix to thrive. By valuing each person’s differences we encourage everyone to contribute their unique experiences, strengths and viewpoints. We are taking active steps to build a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and work in. We aim to reflect this diversity in all departments and at all levels of seniority in the business, right up to the board.

Spektrix is an equal opportunities employer. We recruit regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, neurodivergence, or disability status and look to employ from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
