What you will do:

The Sales Training & Development Manager will work cross-functionally with Category Management, R&D, Consumer Insights, and Marketing teams to design and implement training to equip TCCA sales employees and brokers to tell the Tillamook Story and have deep product and category knowledge. Additionally, the role will own driving a larger understanding of business acumen across the sales organization, to include financials. The Sales Training & Development Manager will partner with the Sr. L&D Manager to evaluate content for sales that would benefit the larger organization as well as what existing L&D content can be deployed as part of Sales L&D plans. This person must acquire and maintain competencies related to best in class sales strategies, influencing and communication strategies, and negotiation strategies in order to design, develop and deliver content to develop the sales team.

The Sales Training & Development Manager will play a key role as the lead expert on Sales Communications, The Tillamook Story and The Tillamook Way of business operations for new employees as well as new third-party agencies including brokerage, marketing and distributor. The Sales Training & Development Manager will exhibit a strong intellectual curiosity capable of discovering and strategizing advancements in developing our direct and extended teams that enable the future of the entire sales organization. The Sales Training & Development Manager will maintain an active IDP whereas they will embrace ongoing personal development and capability advancement.

The Sales Training & Development Manager will provide the strategy for as well as lead plan execution for their AOR by effectively, attracting top talent, developing their team, providing clear direction, collaborating with key stakeholders, demonstrating a deep understanding of the business, leading with insights, deepening customer business relationships, and living our values.

Here’s a day in the life:

Lead development and execution for sales development objectives for the Tillamook selling organization.

Lead sales communications for all direct employee, agency and customer which contribute to and enable customer experience excellence objectives.
Serve stakeholders by understanding the evolving needs of sales development to maintain and extend Tillamook market leadership position
Lead the sales leadership development plan whereas new leaders are identified, nurtured and equipped for future leadership opportunities.
Lead in the development and execution of LMS and in person training and development content.
Predict future development needs of the team and develop annual business recommendations and proposals that deliver on AOR charter.
Maintain and Advance Industry leading Sales Narrative competencies across the sales organization
Collaborate with P&C to coordinate L&D plans for sales team.
Serve as liaison between sales and category teams; assist with communication and execution of JBP initiatives.
Demonstrate excellent communications skills. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong presentation skills.
Work independently with excellent oral and written communications skills.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related subject required.
10 years of related experience, 5 years of management experience.
Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
