Description

O My Bag is looking for an E-commerce Specialist to work full-time at our HQ in Amsterdam. Heard of O My Bag?

We are changing the leather and fashion industry by creating fair job opportunities and connecting producers in small communities to the global market. We own two stores in Amsterdam and you will find our bags all over the world. Do you want to be a part of our adventure; are you motivated, mission-driven and not afraid of change? As our E-commerce Specialist you are responsible for creating the best online shopping experience for all O My Bag lovers. You constantly weigh off targets and budgets, and work closely with our marketing team to reach our ambitious goals. As we are a fast growing company, there are plenty of growth opportunities in the future.

Your main responsibilities

  • Managing our B2C E-commerce revenue goals and budget.
  • You will create sales targets and sales analysis supported with accurate data.
  • Analyzing industry best practices and staying ahead of tech trends to optimize the O My Bag E-commerce experience.
  • Utilizing web analytics and data to guide the ongoing development of the website, including storytelling, product presentation, performance, structure, merchandising, and navigation.
  • Creating briefs, testing, and managing the implementation of all website development projects.
  • Ensuring SEO best practices are implemented and updated.
  • Planning and executing all E-commerce product and model photoshoots, as well as the inside bag video content.
  • Working together with our graphic designer and back-end developer to create site improvements that enhance UX/UI for the O My Bag customer.
  • Working with the marketing team to manage website content and make sure imagery, copy and pricing is accurate and consistent;
  • Collaborating with the Operations & CS teams to optimize the post-purchase experience, including returns.
  • You will be responsible for managing the E-commerce intern.

Job requirements

About you

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in an E-commerce role, preferably in the fashion industry;
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of E-commerce best practices;
  • You are always up to date regarding the latest industry trends;
  • You have experience working with Shopify;
  • You have strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines;
  • You pay attention to detail. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, big or small. You stay focused, and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch;
  • You enjoy solving problems. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it;
  • You're interested in improving the world of fair trade fashion;

Further requirements

  • A University or HBO degree;
  • Preferably at least 4 years of work experience in a similar role;
  • Available full-time (40 hours per week);
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML or CSS;
