The Systems & Network Administrator will work within our team, helping to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our infrastructure. He/she will support and evolve a 24x7x365 call center environment where reliability and uptime is paramount. The Systems & Network Administrator is a key member of a small, talented team of engineers who collectively demonstrate excellence in delivering a reliable, secure, mission-critical infrastructure. Qualified applicants will have a strong background in IT, computer systems administration, or systems engineering and analysis.

The Systems & Network Administrator will also provide support and mentoring to helpdesk staff including authoring instructions, promoting security policy, and ensuring the helpdesk can successfully support IT systems. He/she will interface extensively with Director of Network & Security as well as CTO.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Ability to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure including meeting security standards (compliance).
Ability to maintain and evolve security operations including regular auditing, penetration testing, vulnerability testing, IDS, SIEM, etc.
Oversight of infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
Participate in Jira planning to support organizational initiatives.
Champion change management procedures and processing.
Ongoing maintenance of security, patching, backup and redundancy operations and strategies
Will work with the team to design information and operational support systems
Provide 2nd level support
Excellence in communication as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve issues
Experience with the following vendors highly desired: VMware. Dell/EMC servers and SAN, NetApp, Veeam, Cisco and Fortinet.
Willingness to commute to Marlborough and/or Andover MA twice per quarter
Systems & Network Engineer Skills/Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field or equivalent experience.
Proven working experience in the above fields including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux (Ubuntu preferred) and Windows based environments.
Evidence of experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, Apache, NGINX)
Competency in writing and maintaining custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower downtime due to required human intervention
Scripting skills a plus (e.g., bash scripts, Perl, Windows Powershell)
Strong networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Ability to communicate complex topics to all levels of the organization.
Possesses strong analytical skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications a plus e.g., CEH, CISSP, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) , Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
Experience with automation software in order to optimize efficacy a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
5 years of IT experience.
Language Skills:
Ability, to communicate in standard business English both written and spoken. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations to customer, clients and other employees of the organization.
