A successful Industrial Engineer is a master of process improvements, process control, setting and updating routings, and accuracy of data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Review closed work order labor variances and make recommendations for labor standards adjustments to the production manager and controller for approval.
• Evaluate processes and make recommendations for improvements in productivity and quality control.
• Analyze production data and make recommendations for assembly time reductions.
• Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with UL requirements.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Familiarity with manufacturing automation practices and hand tools.
• Become the Manufacturing Execution System champion and implementer.
• Review NPD router labor standards for accuracy.
• Manage Engineering Change process.
• Provide on demand shop floor support.
• Provide DFMA input on NPD projects.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support achieving company KPIs.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Degree in Industrial Technology or Engineer
• 5 -10 years in manufacturing assembly
• Communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings, and status reports
• Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control
• Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
• Lean, ERP, 3D modeling software, Excel, mechanical aptitude
