Salesforce Project Manager, Managed Organizations (Chicago, IL, Durham, NC, San Francisco, CA, or Washington, D.C.)

Arabella Advisors seeks an entrepreneurial, socially engaged professional to help our clients launch and manage innovative social sector projects. The Salesforce Project Manager will support and innovate our Salesforce instance and work with internal teams to optimize their work. You will be working closely with program staff and other key stakeholders who manage a diverse portfolio of projects focused on affecting national and global change. They will rely on your operations, relationship management, and systems expertise to enable their efficiency and effectiveness.

Essential Responsibilities:
Support internal Managed Organizations (MO) staff use of Salesforce by:
Serving as project manager, business analyst, and administrator for MO-related Salesforce system improvements

Project Management (25%)
Drive creation and maintenance of project plan, including the scope, staffing, and timeline
Coordinate project participants to execute their work
Provide visibility on status and changes needed to participants and stakeholders

Business Analysis (45%)
Build a deep understanding of how staff use our Salesforce tools, while identifying opportunities for improvement to help staff provide strong customer service
Design and lead staff trainings, including creating related resources and running bi-weekly office hours
Lead and motivate staff and clients to develop and implement meaningful use of our technology, and provide related trouble-shooting support
Build and maintain strong working relationships with technology stakeholders across the organization; ensure understanding of impact across all platforms and teams of system improvements
Drive discovery process and gather business requirements from stakeholders
Define Salesforce technical requirements from business requirements
Create design and development plans for Salesforce improvement projects

Administration (30%)
Provide general and internal support to our helpdesk operations focusing on Salesforce
Examine time-based workflows and scheduled Apex queues to make sure there are no unexpected entries
Identify patterns in requests and, where appropriate, propose and implement solutions
Maintain Salesforce systems documentation and data quality, including:
Document internal team’s workflow outside and inside Salesforce
Review team’s data needs
Document internal support trends for IT team analysis
Identify opportunities for improvements
Conduct testing and write test cases for stakeholder testing
Report bugs within Salesforce and work with internal team to troubleshoot and resolve

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of three years’ experience in technology, business analysis, and/or project management roles preferred
Strong understanding of Salesforce and process improvement
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness in problem solving, including the ability to understand and fully incorporate the perspectives of others
Outstanding organization and prioritization skills - ability to manage multiple demands, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain strong ongoing relationships and to engage multiple stakeholders
Experience or interest in philanthropy, nonprofits, foundation operations and management

Other Preferred Skills and Experience:

Degree in technology, mathematics, business, finance, or other related field
Salesforce Certification

Total Rewards (compensation and benefits)
This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive and holistic total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits. Our base salaries are based on a blend of similar sized organizations from different sectors, including nonprofits, foundations, and professional service firms. They are also based on local market rates and differentiated by geography.
All full-time staff are eligible for our generous benefits package on their first day of employment:

Working with Us
While this position must be based in Chicago, IL, Durham, NC, San Francisco, CA, or Washington, D.C., please note that due to COVID-19, all Arabella Advisors' offices are closed, and we continue to temporarily work in a remote environment.

When we reopen -- currently anticipated in mid-July 2022 -- we will be returning to work with a hybrid workplace strategy to ensure continued flexibility for our staff, while deepening our strong culture rooted in collaboration and in-person interactions between colleagues. It is our expectation that once we reopen, Arabellans will generally work at least 1-2 days a week in the office, or more if they prefer, and the remaining days at home/remotely.
