Shipping & Receiving Specialist job in Kingston

As our Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for the smooth, efficient, and seamless operations of shipping and receiving. You will work closely and collaboratively with the larger Product Operations team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, striving to continuously improve the daily operations at our new Kingston, NY factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing courier and postal shipments for pickups by contracted couriers
• Responsible for receiving, cataloging, and unloading shipments
• Investigating, communicating and correcting any discrepancies found
• Responsible for creating shipping invoices
• Responsible for effectively communicating and updating project process in project management tool (Wrike)
• Generating any site communication required in a timely manner
• Keeping project managers and department manager advised of current issues
• Maintains client (internal and external) satisfaction by responding to inquiries in a professional, courteous and timely manner
• Assisting in troubleshooting workflow issues
• Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
• Maintains security of data and equipment

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to learn and work with MRP/ERP software
• Must be available to work Monday-Friday
• This job requires standing, sitting, lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, and twisting
