Job description

Apidura is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communication Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing effective communication strategies, acting as the gatekeeper for brand voice and tone across our key touchpoints.

The Communication Specialist will work closely with the wider Marketing and Digital teams to help create and deliver a clear communication strategy that aligns to our broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of the position will include:

• Being the voice of Apidura, delivering key messages with authenticity and resonance to diverse audiences.
• Acting as the gatekeeper for all Apidura outputs, be it product copy, long-form Journal content or marketing copy.
• Crafting clear, compelling, and consistent messages across web, digital and PR.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive communication plan that focuses on elevating brand and product presentation across key touchpoints.
• Management of organic keyword strategies to enable tracking, analysis and optimisation of brand and product messages across search platforms.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in communication to continually enhance communication strategy.
• Being a key stakeholder in crafting Apidura’s Brand presentation, style and tone of voice.
• Working with the wider Apidura team to elevate the understanding, appreciation and adherence to key communication principles.

Experience

• 3+ years experience in a dedicated Communications role.
• Experience in developing and executing brand-level communication strategy.
• Experience of working with or managing keyword strategies.
• Skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas and technologies in a clear and effective manner.
• An understanding of the outdoor industry at large and the pros and cons to differing communication strategies and their impact on brand perception.
• A genuine interest in working for a purpose-led business with focus on inspiring and enabling people of all backgrounds to ride further, faster and more comfortably.
• Flexibility and comfort with ambiguous or changing responsibilities and targets.

Additional requirements

• Interest, energy and flexibility to work in the fast-paced environment of a growing business and wear multiple hats.
• Experience of communicating technical product features in an outdoor/sporting goods environment is a plus.
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the UK.
• A range of language skills would be advantageous.
• Keen interest in cycling and bikepacking is a plus.
