Description

The Data Analyst reports to the Procurement Performance Director, and will be key to effectively monitor and manage the Real Estate function’s health. In addition, the Data Analyst is responsible for enabling dynamic forward-looking insights to drive performance, and supporting savings tracking of procurement initiatives.

The Data Analyst will lead the delivery of timely reports to Procurement leaders, support the creation of quantitative support for savings opportunities, and the creation of forecast and metrics to monitor key activities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Track Real Estate savings, ensuring all approvals are in place and calculations are correct.


  • Coordinate data needs and communicate effectively across geographies and internal/external stakeholders.


  • Develop and build relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts.


  • Provide analytical support as needed. Identifies forward looking insights and opportunities at a global, region, country, and/or category level.


  • Manage related KPI to measure, control and benchmark Real Estate processes.


  • Makes recommendations to directors and regional VPs of improvement opportunities taking into consideration the positive financial impact.


  • Align with Internal customers, Corporate FP&A, Financial Operations and others to understand budgetary targets, and develop an agreed method of measuring and defining savings, and other metrics.


  • Creates regular and ad-hoc reports as requested by Laureate leadership


  • Supports development of presentations and communications of Real Estate’s performance as requested by senior leadership



TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL, and PEOPLE SKILLS REQUIRED



  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (Pivot tables, Macros), including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports


  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance


  • Familiarity with purchasing, supply chain management and modeling


  • Shows comfort with analytics; has ability to structure basic financial analyses


  • Possesses ability to synthesize information from diverse sources and present findings in clear, concise fashion


  • Exhibits strong communication skills (written and verbal)


  • Maintains a service-oriented attitude


  • Possesses a passion for finding information on new and innovative trends to relevant industries


  • Shows strong interpersonal skills


  • Must possess ability to juggle and prioritize numerous requests simultaneously and manage work schedule with minimum supervision

  • Attention to detail – must have precision in their work, especially as it relates to understanding and documenting complex quality issues

  • Spanish, Portuguese proficiency desired but not required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years’ experience
