We are looking for an Account Manager to hold and create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers, who we call Funders. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned Funders, develop new business from existing clients and actively seeking out new sales
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing a portfolio of funders at different stages in their ActionFunder journey (onboarding / adoption / renewal / growth) being their key point of contact throughout

Setting up funders for success by correctly managing expectations and taking time to understand their objectives.

Maximising business value and revenue for AF through educating funders on best-practice and how to get the most from the ActionFunder platform, specific to their needs.

Managing and monitoring fund & funder health to highlight any potential issues, engaging with funders and communities to remove blockers so that they can achieve their goals.

Collaborating with the wider commercial teams including sales and marketing to identify upsell and account growth opportunities.

Representing the voice of the funder and the non-profit community by capturing feedback and sharing your insights with other areas of the business on what our funders need to be successful.

Coordinating and capturing Funder feedback at key milestones of the AF journey and communicating this internally to improve the customer experience

Assisting in creating training & educational materials/content used in our Help Centre and during Onboarding

Identifying new business opportunities with existing clients, proactively offering additional services or upgrades, and/or securing renewals to meet our revenue and impact targets

Making and implementing suggestions on how we can become more efficient as a team
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION: Skills required to perform the job (essential)

Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role

Have a pragmatic attitude - being willing and able to manage any funder account assigned to them, irrelevant of their size or sector

Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive and senior teams to meet customer needs and achieve business targets.

Experience using project management software (e.g. Active Campaign, Asana or Monday, Salesforce,) and Google Drive or MS Office

Experience delivering client-focused solutions to meet customer needs

Solid project management skills - especially good with time management & planning

Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Be a self-starter, willing and able to deliver on all accountabilities with minimal supervision

Be passionate to work on impactful campaigns and making a tangible difference

A sense of humour and a good sense of comradery!
DESIRABLE (but not essential):

Experience using CRM software (e.g Salesforce, Active Campaign or similar)

Understanding of grassroots or non profit community projects or funding / fundraising experience

Experience working with customer communities or running multi stakeholder programmes

WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE
A good Account Manager must be customer/funder focused to build trust with their portfolio. They must be a strong communicator to manage their accounts effectively. An efficient Account Manager must also be knowledgeable about their organisation's products, services and remit to provide them with the most effective solutions.
They must have a thirst for knowledge, the ability to learn quickly and easily grasp new tools & processes. They should be able to communicate clearly and confidently with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate on strategies that grow our funder base. We want funders to increase their fund value and make more impact!
