Inventory analysts will monitor and anticipate the rate of depletion for each type of our products offered in Alter Eco Warehouses. As an inventory analyst, you will make sure that Alter Eco contract packaging and warehouses maintain inventory levels necessary to meet our growing business demands. Your daily duties may include writing inventory reports and requisitions, performing cycle counts, determining periodic asset valuations and placing material purchase and work orders to ensure satisfactory in stock conditions. The job requires advanced organization skills, familiarity with Netsuite or other ERP systems as well.

Another important aspect of the Inventory Analyst role involves working closely with the demand planning group to stay informed of past and current sales trends that may influence inventory levels. You will also oversee the level of incoming products and ensure that inventory levels stay balanced with the level of outgoing products. In addition, you will oversee quarterly inventory reconciliation, and proving that all products were bought, handled and sold in compliance with contracts and certifications.



Inventory analysts' primary duties consist of understanding a company's inventory situation and making recommendations to improve that situation.

  • Involved in this primary task is a great deal of studying. Inventory analysts consider everything from a company's previous inventory reports to national purchasing trends. However, inventory analysts have a variety of other subsequent duties.

  • They may be tasked with some management duties as they direct buyers and stockroom workers. They may also be asked to draft reports or create and handle inventory databases.

  • Oversight of system of coordinating, tracking all work orders and incoming raw materials into Alter Eco warehouses.

  • Analyzes all “At Risk Inventory” related costs to identify root cause and action plan implementation.

  • Partners with sales and demand planning departments to understand, forecasted sales and impact on current and future inventory levels.

  • Anticipate, coordinate and problem solve needs for new product rollouts, inventory builds and depletion timelines

  • With staff, establish procedures for inventory replenishment cycles and timing to ensure 98%+ In Stock Service Levels. 

  • Determine and enforce productivity, quality, and safety requirements in accordance with current and foreseeable real company needs.

  • Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of operations, quality, reliability, and safety.

  • Will conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and lead quarterly physical Inventory counts at Alter Eco Warehouses and contract packaging companies.

  • Will own and facilitate company weekly Inventory/ In Stock Meetings  and owner of “In-Stock Conditions” report

  • Will oversee product assemblies and all incoming goods receiving reports to ensure accuracy of company inventory and inventory values.

  • Will have oversight of all company inventory transfers & adjustments

  • Conducts all Netsuite Item Management and GS1 Database Management

  • Provides guidance and issues work orders to vendor partners to ensure adequate inventory is available to accommodate sales trends.



  • 5+ Years in an Operations or inventory accounting role in a food manufacturing or distribution consumer packaged goods company.

  • Natural industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing and a deep understanding of demand planning, order fulfillment and supply chain operations.

  • Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting. 

  • Strong systems skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly detail oriented, organized and self-starter

  • A personal connection to the products and mission of Alter Eco.
