The Eastern Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving Lotus Foods sales objectives for a defined region, and collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement effective programs that drive the brand’s success in the market. The position will oversee the majority of all trade-related activities in the Eastern region. Together with the Director of Sales, this position effectively manages brokers, directs and coordinates distributor programs and oversees key retailer relationships in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.


The Ideal Candidate will have:



  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the natural/specialty food industry with at least 2 years in a Eastern Regional Sales Manager role.

  • Budget management skills — ability to achieve top line results while maintaining company profitability. 

  • Proven track record of building new business.

  • Ability to develop sales presentations by leveraging data.

  • Demonstrated engagement in making the world a better place through sustainable business practices and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Excellent grasp of business math including calculation of margins and trade pricing scenarios.

  • Experience with ERP system and sales management reports.

  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, expense budgeting and sales analysis

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Ability to achieve individual results while maintaining a strong team orientation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organization skills and detail orientation.
