At Bellroy, we put our heart, soul and countless design hours into helping the world carry better. We geek out – unashamedly – on performance and technology, but balance it out by looking deeply into the beauty of design. We need a Corporate Salesperson to help us take that love of design into unexplored corporate territories. You’ll help us build a corporate sales program and sell our existing products (and custom options) into companies and organisations who could benefit from a bit of Bellroy in their lives. This is a new space for us, so you have the chance to steer this ship into fresh, exciting new waters. To connect to potential customers around the world; to work with our Global Sales Director to map out a process, roll it out and refine it; and to generate fast growth in an agile and fast-moving company.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE, IF...

You’re a natural people person. The kind who thrives on connection and understanding human need. You can hold a room of people in the palm of your hand when you want to; but realise that most of the time, it’s more about listening than it is about talking. You’re charismatic but humble. Caring and curious. And you love a challenge – especially when you know the outcome can help a bunch of people in some way.

You have some experience in the corporate world, but are ready to work for a company that doesn’t exist there. You can speak the lingo without having to live in it. You genuinely want to help organisations “level up” their employees with products that make their work day easier and more beautiful at the same time.

When it comes to designing a pitch, you naturally consider the way people process information and make decisions, and can customise your approach accordingly. Same goes when you’re in a room and notice certain folks aren’t quite getting the information that’s coming at them. You’re flexible and adaptive and can switch it up to suit.

You have a little bit of design geek in you. We challenge the way carry goods have always been designed, and often the brilliance of our products needs some explanation. You’re comfortable doing so in a compelling, well-informed and genuine manner.

You’re motivated, and keen on the idea of delivering exceptional results for a young brand doing awesome things. IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE...

  • Responded (by phone, skype or email) to initial enquiries or basic questions from organisations about Bellroy’s corporate sales program
  • Worked with our product design and development teams to prepare some customised options to pitch to a potential customer
  • Attended the weekly meeting where progress on all corporate orders in the system are reviewed and worked with the team (development, logistics, project management) to break any constraints
  • Spent time with the Global Sales Director working out a plan to approach target customers in a new country
  • Given feedback to our Creative Director about how the ‘corporate sales’ sales deck could be changed to better help potential customers understand what we’re offering
  • Followed up a bunch of leads you’re working on at the same time, moving them through the sales funnel

This role is full time and is based at our office in Bells Beach, Australia.
