Position Summary


The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales to plan and execute the marketing strategy, support sales team with relevant tools and manages new product development process. This position will work cross-functionally to support all marketing efforts. This exciting opportunity requires a well-rounded individual who is both a strategic and creative thinker, an excellent communicator, passionate about service and willing to dig into a variety of tasks.


 


Summary of Responsibilities


 


Marketing



  • Continuously identifies opportunities to further improve brand perception and service across all customer touch points and lead cross-functional teams in implementing new or enhanced practices

  • Consistently monitors brand usage and ensures brand guidelines are adhered to

  • Supports the development of marketing plan and budget

  • Manages participation in national tradeshows and conferences by coordinating exhibit logistics, scheduling, marketing messaging efforts and follow-up efforts

  • Develops customized selling tools including product flyers, e-blasts, coupons, etc.

  • Manages all updates to marketing materials and website to reflect current product offerings

  • Develops a social media marketing strategy and manages multiple platforms of communication

  • Assists leadership team in developing and implementing departmental workshops to foster corporate strategy and philanthropic efforts

  • Manages and upholds new projects and policies related to B Corp certification

  • Maintains the back end of multiple websites and digital filing systems

  • Manage relationships with key vendor partners including printers, graphic designers, web designers and exhibit company


 Sales Support



  • Equips sales and broker teams with best-in-category collateral and training materials to communicate the brand message and relevant product details

  • Regularly analyze sales performance by customer, by product and by region to help sales team analyze trends (up/down).

  • Help the sales team prepare for business reviews with customers and channel partners by providing relevant sales analysis and account management insights

  • Works with the sales team to schedule promotions and special offers and help the supply chain team better forecast resulting shifts in demand

  • Supports marketing essentials and fosters collaboration with our broker partner Acosta


 New Product Development



  • Support cross-functional teams in the new product development (NPD) process.

  • Communicates all product launches to integral members of SBI team for proper set-up and launch efforts, as well as communication with our broker partner Acosta

  • Researches ingredient and product trends and listens to sales team to inform new product development and product improvement


 Skills & Experiences



  • Understanding of fundamental marketing and promotional spending strategies

  • Knowledge of foodservice channels

  • Experience in B-to-B environment

  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Able to develop strong and deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Positive enthusiasm and optimistic outlook

  • Able to analyze data and build a story

  • Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward with limited oversight

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Obsessive about organization and attention to detail

  • Basic understanding of foodservice industry market dynamics

  • Motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team
