THE ROLE


This individual will be responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of  manufacturing and inventory plans to maximize service level performance and efficient delivery of inventory at the lowest cost.  The Supply Planning Manager will champion lean manufacturing principles, drive operational efficiencies and influence decision-making within broader business. This role will create weekly schedules and orders, provide direction and guidance to suppliers for production priority and ensure timely delivery.


AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


Supply Planning Manager will:



  • Manage production plans and coordinate materials with internal and across multiple manufacturing sites

  • Act as Supply Chain Lead with cross functional business teams; assist with product transitions and ensure raw materials and finished goods are managed efficiently to ensure minimal excess inventory

  • Communicate regularly with demand planning, sales and customer service teams to make purchasing decisions based on trends, inventory level goals, customer order fill rates and variable demand signals.

  • Be responsible for end to end planning of Customer specific finished goods and point of purchase (POP) programs, leading the development and commercialization of off-shelf products.

  • Partner with master data team to manage product and raw material life cycles and maintain Bills of Materials for accurate material requirements planning.

  • Identify and drive system improvements in areas related to supply management and requirements planning.

  • Work reception once a month*

QUALIFICATIONS:


EXPERIENCE:



  • 2-5 years Material Planning background in applicable industry

  • Package Engineering experience a plus

  • MRP/ERP planning experience required, SAP experience preferred


REQUIREMENTS: 



  • Demonstrated ability to multi task with strong organization skills; able to follow through on projects and meet deadlines

  • Communicates well at all levels of the organization both internally and externally

  • Able to manage and direct external partners with day-to-day priorities, provide direction and assist with problem solving

  • Proven ability to create cross functional partnership and drive for decision

  • Ability to stay cool and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment



EDUCATION:


Minimum Bachelor’s degree
