Job Summary/Mission 

We’re looking for a values-based individual to join our growing sales team. Your mission is to achieve and surpass TallGrass revenue and margin targets. You may not come from the natural products industry but your sales leadership expertise combined with personal passion for nutrition and natural wellness make you the perfect candidate. You know the challenges faced by today’s bricks and mortar retailers and apply innovative sales strategies to partner and grow this unique category of retailers for mutual benefit. The National Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales.

  • Performance driven – You consistently surpass overall revenue target by a minimum of 15% year-over-year 
  • Coach extraordinaire – You partner with your team of account managers across Canada through regular communication – weekly one on one calls, bi-monthly sales team calls, and quarterly in-person territory visits – all to help you build relationships, ensure accountability and seek growth both professionally and personally for your team 
  • Must love people – You continuously build strong relationships with Key Accounts to ensure strong partnerships and support sales growth 
  • Trade marketing excellence – You ensure each brands’ marketing funds are being both utilised by each rep and exceed 5X ROI 
  • Data innovation – You analyze sales data to discover opportunities and quickly make these into action plans that are easy for your team to adopt and implement 
  • Team builder – You know how to recruit, hire and on-board a team of A-players 



  • Personal and professional alignment with TallGrass core values 
  • 5+ years national sales management experience 
  • 5+ years direct sales experience 
  • Love for collaboration 
  • Ability to gain trust and build relationships within TallGrass as well as with clients, vendors, and industry members 
  • Excellent coaching skills; ability to observe, evaluate, give meaningful feedback and motivate a sales team 
  • Positive and enthusiastic 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute marketing and education programs

  • Strategic planning abilities and experience

  • Passion for the natural health industry
