Accounts Payable Clerk 

Your goal in this position is to support our senior accounting team with the AP tasks associated with our accounting department. Using a strong attention to detail, you’ll work with the highest degree of accuracy, exercising great judgement, confidentiality, and data management skills.

Practically speaking, you will: 

  • Manage our invoicing processes from start to finish, including verification, coding, matching, system entry, and payment setup. 

  • Track and process all expense reports, as well as electronic transfers and payments. 

  • Keep journal, ledgers, and other records up-to-date and accurate by posting and reconciling all transactions. 

  • Ensure all payments are up-to-date, and research and resolve any discrepancies or issues. 

  • Maintain vendor files, and respond to ongoing vendor correspondence and inquires. 

  • Produce monthly reports, assist with month end closing, and provide supporting documentation for audits. 

If this sounds like the role for you, we’d love you to have the following qualifications. 


  • Experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role. 

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures (GAAP, IFRS) 

  • Experience with relevant accounting software (QuickBooks etc.) 

  • Experience and proficiency in data entry and data management. 

  • Strong computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel – formulas, LOOKUPS, pivot tables etc.) 

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or related field. 

The Details 

You’ll work Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 5:30 (with some overtime on evenings and weekends when reports are due) from our office in Rockville Centre. In addition to your salary, between $40,000 and $50,000/year, we offer a great benefits package with medical, dental, optical and 401K. After your first year, we also offer $500 annually for you to enroll in any class you like.
