We’re searching for a Fulfillment Manager to play an integral role in helping set, execute, and manage our optical services strategy. You’ll lead a team that understands and manages the lifecycle of a customer’s prescription order, from the point of approval through delivery to the customer and return, as appropriate.  

You’ll also play a critical role in all initiatives related to laboratory strategy, capacity, operations, and process improvements—and will be responsible for developing, measuring, and reporting out metrics on a regular basis to stakeholders.

In this position, you’ll report to our Director of Manufacturing and Fulfillment to make sure all related efforts support the company’s needs and position it for continued rapid growth. Sound like your cup of tea (or coffee, or yerba mate)? See below!

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a lab services team that has full accountability for strategic, commercial, operational, and process performance of Warby Parker’s optical lab services providers

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order flow and lab operations

  • Develop and manage KPIs to include but not limited to: delivery, quality, cost, and inventory

  • Drive process improvements to reduce variability and lead time from order approval to delivery to customer, as measured by lab services-centric metrics

  • Develop capacity planning tool to ensure we can meet current and future demand to support our continued aggressive growth plan

  • Serve as the liaison between our partners and internal stakeholders such as Customer Experience, Tech, Supply Chain, Consumer Insights, Finance, and Merchandising

  • Develop, maintain, and train our partners on robust SOPs that incorporate process requirements of stakeholders to drive consistency in manufacturing and an amazing customer experience

  • Lead negotiations with existing and prospective vendors

Who you are:

  • The proud owner of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, production management, or supply chain management

  • Equipped with 3–5 years of hands-on supply chain experience, including process improvement, vendor strategy, capacity planning, and operations management

  • Ability to develop vendors through steady state production management through continuous improvements efforts and reporting out on scorecards

  • Understanding of the technical, regulatory, commercial, operational, and logistics implications of managing day-to-day service providers

  • A self-manager who’s resourceful armed with strong critical and analytical skills

  • A positive team leader who can quickly build respect within his/her team and across stakeholder groups

  • Equipped with a strong working knowledge of supply chain processes and how they relate to lab production

  • Experienced at an intermediate or expert level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and database tools)

Extra credit:

  • An understanding of lean methodologies and/or Six Sigma certification

  • CPIM or CSCP certification

  • A love of travel—and the willingness to travel for work up to 10% of the time
