Job Description

About the Role and what you can expect

The International Recruitment Manager – ELICOS is heavily involved in managing the processes and workflows for the Laureate Australia New Zealand group of entities (in particular Torrens University Language Centre) and sales of ELICOS courses which are accredited for international students.

The core function of this position is to ensure maximum interest and marketability of Laureate’s ELICOS programs and the conversion of students through all stages of the recruitment and articulation process. It is a requirement of this role to maintain exemplary levels of customer service for all internal and external stakeholders and to ensure the highest standard of delivery to all partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from the foundation of the ELICOS recruitment relationships currently in existence and expand the offering to further potential agents and students, both for academic and standalone ESL courses

  • Research and recommend a pricing strategy for various options for defined cohorts of international students

  • Work on the expansion and consolidation interstate of Torrens University Language Centre

  • Consult and liaise with partners as to visas, accommodation, academic pre-requisites and requirements and in general all checklists necessary to ensure a smooth, enjoyable and rewarding experience for all prospective Laureate students willing to undertake an agreed ELICOS programme

  • Work with internal departments, e.g. sales, marketing and CX, to ensure that all ELICOS and TULC initiatives are front of mind for all staff and that it is a cost effective and revenue generating component of the international selling proposition

  • Maintain and grow the infrastructure, both administrative, marketing and student services required for Torrens University Australia to successfully participate in and benefit from viable and sustainable international language pathways and standalone courses

  • To maximise the possibilities of students in TULC to continue with further studies at a Laureate Australia entity. This may include via dual qualifications, offshore online courses, short courses or onshore progression via ELICOS pathways or Vocational partners

  • Coordinate feedback on progression rates through particular agents, regions, pathways, sales channels and campuses, onshore and off

  • Track effectiveness of marketing arrangements and benefits to the business

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ experience within education, preferably international, with at least 2 in a similar role

  • Extensive knowledge of the ESOS Act, CRICOS, PRISMS, The National Code and DIBP regulations

  • High level capabilities with regard to student processes

  • High level of competence in use of Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to adhere to and disseminate policies and procedures

  • Ability to prioritise and manage a large volume of work

  • Marketing/sales or stakeholder engagement background within international sector is an advantage
