We’re a Certified B Corp and WBE and we’re looking for someone who aligns with our commitment to do research-driven meaningful work with social impact. Our agency is a UX think tank, solving complicated questions for our clients about social responsibility, marketing, communications, web development, branding, and impact measurement.


We’re looking for a full-time Communications Director, Story Strategist to join our team–the essential storyteller of the LimeRed narrative that will connect us with our core audiences. You will weave together the various moments and experiences with our partners and clients to share the bigger picture of how human-centered design can create solutions, impact, and social change.  You will also work within our team to guide and develop content for client-based work.


The ideal candidate would be in the Chicago area and available to work at our Ravenswood office. This person should be comfortable working as a part of a small team that collaboratively handles strategy, design, and development. We work 9ish to 5ish and offer exceptional work/life balance.


Our staff juggles internal and external projects daily within a rigorous project management process. We have a lot of fun together and expect the highest quality work from everyone.


 







Key Responsibilities and Criteria:



  • Advocate for the LimeRed story.

  • Assist in market and user research to inform communications strategies.

  • Frame messages and narratives to core audiences including social innovators and entrepreneurs, foundations, research institutions, and others.

  • Familiarity and experience with developing and managing digital advertising campaigns.

  • A detailed-oriented listener who can grasp complex ideas and provide creative marketing solutions.

  • Experience with SEO and SEM best practices.

  • Develop and execute creative public relations campaigns.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Work closely with the sales and accounts team.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop project case studies, product manuals, and content strategies.

  • Oversee all LimeRed social media accounts, and develop and execute strategies to effectively engage with audiences.

  • Develop relations with target media and pitch story ideas that communicate our mission.

It’s a Major Plus if:



  • You have agency experience

  • You have experience working within the media industry

  • You’ve had professional writing experience

  • You have a high sense of design

  • Have another skill that you’re proud of that you can bring to work














Compensation and Benefits:



  • 65,000 annual salary, negotiable at 90 days
