This position will report directly into the Vice President Omni Planning in the creation and management of an integrated calendar for the company. The Director of Integrated Operations will collaborate with all functional leaders in establishing a calendar cross-functionally to support each business units needs and to support the end to end product lifecycle process. Evaluating effectiveness and opportunities for improvements will be a key focus as the new calendar and end to end product lifecycle process is adopted at Eileen Fisher. Providing strong leadership and objectivity with a creative vision for project management are essential qualities in the role. Partnering with leadership to ensure the process is being embraced and measuring effectiveness will be a key focus in the first year of the new process. The Director Integrated Operations contributes to the leadership team through process evaluation, assessment and providing solutions to address opportunities with the Product Lifecycle Process. In addition, the Director Integrated Operations will evaluate current business performance metrics and develop streamlined reporting and analysis to provide creative teams and leadership compelling analysis to inform timely decisions and report on the health of the business.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Calendar Creation and Management:
Meet with Functional leaders and direct reports to review and assess current functional calendars as well as review the new calendar that supports the end to end process
Develop a comprehensive integrated calendar to layer in individual functional calendars into one company calendar for Eileen Fisher. Champion the needs of the business and key stakeholders.
Establish a dashboard to measure the effectiveness and compliance of all critical milestones on the company calendar; present at leadership meetings and provide assessment with recommended solutions. Coordinate with functional teams as needed to get back on track with calendar dates to ensure integrity of end to end process
Provide leadership in socializing new calendar throughout the organization
Establish governance with the End to End Process to ensure that the process is being embraced and adhered to within the organization. Collaborate with VP Omni Planning and Organizational Development Partner in change management evaluation and provide solutions and recommendations. Socialize the vision and ensure a thoughtful change management approach is defined and executed.
Attend key milestone meetings to evaluate effectiveness of charters, attendees, meeting productivity and make recommendations for improvements.
Create an output dashboard to keep leaders informed on progress; articulate current state and identify gaps or pain points in the workflow
Identify measurements of success in year 1 and each season; set realistic and achievable targets and goals
Interact with Leadership team by providing progress reports and raising awareness of success and opportunities for improvement, facilitating feedback and coordinating recommendations
Provide strategic partnership to VP Omni Planning on Planning team assessment in executing new roles within organization
Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee and lead the Monthly Business Review preparation, evaluation and consistent reporting of the health of the business in achieving net sales and net margin goals
Provide unbiased, objective analysis to indicate opportunities and create solutions to close gap in brand plan and financial budget
Evaluate reports within Eileen Fisher to offer solutions to address duplication of efforts and reports; facilitate assessing the “value add” of reports and the opportunity to streamline
Coach and develop direct reports in elevating approach to data, providing interpretation and analysis that is objective and action oriented
