ESSENCE OF THE ROLE

Catchafire is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to plan and coordinate testing across our development activities by developing reusable and precise test specification cases, processes, and standards. He or she will be responsible for developing and executing manual and automated tests, regression testing, investigating and assisting in problem analysis, and resolution of delivered software components.

We believe strongly in automated testing - and also rely on manual and functional QA for prioritization, escalation, and to assure that we maintain high standards for our platform. Your work will reflect on the amazing products that help deliver impact to the nonprofit sector.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead priority quality assurance for new features and optimizations




  • Create and maintain scripted tests, based on product specifications and user data, to maintain the right combination of operating systems and browsers (based on user data)




  • Oversee macro QA process across product, design and development seeking continuous improvement and optimization




  • Manage the discovery and inbound reporting of bugs in collaboration with the Customer Success team - determine criticality and communicate effectively




  • Participate and coordinate in overall automation efforts helping to build a practical approach to automated functional and regression testing




  • Participate in story-point estimates with a keen eye toward QA complexity




  • Build and execute a practical regression testing strategy for critical back-end elements and happy paths on the platform




  • Manage QA overage coordination with external QA crowdsourcing platform




  • Contribute to as-is documentation to drive test scripting and product development

EXPERIENCE



  • 5+ yrs experience as a QA analyst or similar role




  • Proven experience working with data reports and verifying data




  • Proven experience testing and working with APIs and back-end systems




  • Working experience writing SQL queries




  • Some experience with automation testing platforms




  • Experience with ticketing systems, such as Trello, Jira & version control repository, Github, Bitbucket, etc...
