The primary responsibility of the Business Intelligence Administrator is to install, upgrade and maintain operations of reporting platforms and ODS, efficiently automating administrative tasks with appropriate tools and repeatable processes. The Business Intelligence Administrator proactively ensures reliability and performance of several reporting platforms and reporting solutions. The Business Intelligence Administrator also performs promotions of reporting content in the reporting platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for installing, upgrading, maintaining and administering Cognos and Tableau reporting environments.
Responsible for installing, upgrading, maintaining and administering Banner ODS.
Release management for reporting environments and Banner ODS.
Responsible for automating administrative tasks using Python and RESTful APIs.
Uses automation and repeatable processes to administer multiple instances of platforms.
Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
Designs and enforces standards for report and dashboard promotion.
Evaluates technical alternatives the developer community based on best practices.
Provide on-call production support.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
The appropriate candidate for this position would have strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and reporting platforms. We are looking for driven self-starters who enjoy and are able to collaborate across all levels and teams within an organization. Effective written and oral communication is a must. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including MS Access) required. Experience working in an Agile development environment, a plus.
Undergraduate degree in computer science or at least 4 years of work experience in relevant field.
At least 4 years of experience administering or implementing Business Intelligence solutions required.
Proven analytical and problems solving skills.
Strong experience developing with Python and RESTful APIs.
Strong SQL skills including Oracle and PL/SQL.
Experience maintaining and administering Cognos
Experience working with Banner and/or Banner ODS.
Strong experience with Linux and Windows.
Fluent in Spanish
Conversational in Portuguese a plus.
Experience maintaining and administering Tableau servers a plus.
