Job Description

As our Partner Manager you will manage relationships between Techstars and our corporate partners. In collaboration with our Operations team and Managing Directors, you will work closely with C-Suite and senior leadership corporate executives to understand their questions, needs, and goals of partnering with Techstars. Handling new and existing relationships, you will ensure the Corporate Partner is effectively engaged with the portfolio companies going through the accelerator while also making sure the needs of the Corporate Partner are being met both short and long-term.  You will report to the VP of Partnerships.  

About You:

  • 6-10 years of experience managing corporate accounts and engaging with high-level executives

  • Consulting background a plus

  • The idea of working cross-functionally across Techstars and with other companies to come up with innovative solutions and ideas excites you

  • Are familiar with both the corporate and startup world and are able to act as a “translator” between the two (experience with corporate transformation projects is a plus)

  • Have exceptional professional presentation and speaking skills.

  • Prioritize strategic activities above tactical execution

  • Incredibly self-driven and organized

  • Fit the Techstars’ culture (people-oriented, adaptable, supportive, creative)

  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience

  • Enjoy traveling locally, nationally, and internationally (a minimum of 50% travel is expected to ensure face to face relationship development)

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with corporate executives (as the account transitions from the sales team)

  • Establish mutual goals between the Corporate Partner and Techstars to ensure alignment

  • Manage a series of executive level steering committees to ensure open and active communication

  • Support high value engagement between Corporate Partners and entrepreneurs in the Techstars network

  • Ensure satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth of Corporate Partners

  • Drive penetration of additional Techstars’ products and services that align with mutual goals

  • Resolve issues and challenges impeding Techstars or corporate success

  • Collaborate with Techstars Managing Directors and product managers to ensure alignment

  • Share best practices and stories from partner engagements to support operations and sales

  • Collaborate and activate internal Techstars’ resources for the successful execution of partner engagements
