Position Title: Sales Manager

The Sales Manager provides leadership, direction, guidance and support to the Account Executives at Dogeared. Responsibilities include; overseeing, motivating, and encouraging Account Executives to achieve sales goals that ensure partners and customers satisfaction. The Sales Manager must have proven prospecting and closing skills who is passionate about helping customers and growing a team.

The Manager must be driven to achieve sales goals set by Executive Leadership. Their goal is to develop a business partnership with each customer through a process that supports mutually profitable growth while promoting the concept of Dogeared becoming a primary supplier in each account. Must be passionate to exceed goals by maintaining a positive attitude and being driven to be the best. This position requires a true competitive outside sales person, someone with a proven track record laced with documented achievements that understands the power of collaboration.


  • Responsible for the performance, development and coaching of the Sales team. And the development of a sales plan, establishing target growth strategies, net new target relationships, and developing and growing customers in all channels (online, full line, specialty store and off-price).

  • Conduct one-on-one reviews with Account Executives and Sales Support Manager to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executive’s sales and activity performance.

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service and manage customer and prospect relationships.

  • Provide regular team reports to management and be able to speak to sales trends and focus areas based on data.

  • Partner with leadership to align territory goals and metrics.

  • Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

  • Potential coordination and participation in Trade Shows.

  • Collaborate with marketing to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings. 

  • Manage and grow accounts as assigned.

  • Requires travel, roughly 15 % overnight travel.

  • Other duties as assigned. 


  • Must be sales focused and have a proven record of achieving sales growth and demonstrate the ability to work and succeed in a team atmosphere.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales Management.

  • Joor and EDI experience required.

  • Wholesale experience required.

  • Ability to conduct business while on the road using mobile technology.

  • Working knowledge of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.

  • Experience in jewelry/accessories sales is a plus.

  • Experience with planning and delivering sales budgets required.

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.

  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a Sales team.

  • Smart, fun, outgoing and goal oriented.

  • Proven track record of professional growth.

  • Performance based and results-oriented, with high expectation of self and team.

  • Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback.
