Title : Marketing Coordinator – Events and Brand Ambassador Program


Reports to : Marketing Manager


Location : Burlington, WA (half time remote / travel)


Schedule : Full-time, Tuesday-Saturday

Scratch and Peck Feeds is a mill for organic, whole grain animal feed sourced from growers in the Pacific Northwest. These certifications are important to our company ethos and product development: Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Animal Welfare Approved, Certified B Corp.

Our mission is to make honest, wholesome organic animal feed products with the most heartfelt regard for our planet and fellow living creatures.

We seek a Marketing Coordinator who can oversee our annual calendar of outreach events and our growing community of Brand Ambassadors. Applicants should have a strong sense of collaboration, internal drive to seek out opportunities, desire for helping people learn to grow their own food, and marketing talent that helps jump into projects without hesitation.

Event and Sponsorship Coordination:

Annual Events Calendar – seek opportunity for brand representation, determine list of events for annual calendar, plan and keep calendar up to date, coordinate event logistics, attend events (some evenings and weekends required), coordinate budget for annual events calendar.


Sponsorship – determine which events and programs to sponsor throughout the year as they relate to the annual strategic goals.


Ambassador Program – develop systems and program logistics to more fully launch an ambassador program, engage consistently and frequently with the ambassador community, determine ambassador-appropriate events, coordinate events with ambassadors including reporting and follow up, work with sales team when events involve retailers.


Marketing Administration:

Track stats – report on the ambassador program and other marketing initiatives as needed, help establish new metrics and tracking systems as needed
Ad schedule – help coordinate artwork deadlines and workflows, especially as related to sponsorship logistics and relationships.


Merchandise – determine appropriate products, ordering, and inventory
RFP – help gather quotes for various marketing projects.


General Communications:

Content – write for blogs, newsletters, press releases, marketing materials
Stakeholder Relations – respond to sponsorship and donation requests, determine company interest and present to Marketing Manager for collaborative decision making.


Design:

In house documents, flyers, handouts, etc.


Design and edit marketing materials as needed such as ads, banners, posters, brochures, etc.


Take and edit photos of new products, marketing materials, employee activities, etc.


Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator preferred.


Social Media, Website, Online:

Create and update website content, experience using WordPress preferred
Monitor and respond to marketing requests initiated through “Contact Us” submissions via website.


Create social media posts, research, and respond to messages and comments, research future posts, interact with stores/customers/liked pages, share and tag or announce new locations.


Monitor all SM outlets on a regular basis – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn.


Internal Communications:

Plan and organize employee events – i.e. Christmas party, employee birthdays, BBQ’s, etc


Other:

Back up to: Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Manager tasks as needed.
