Upstreet Craft Brewing is looking for two eager, motivated individuals with experience in brewing who are looking for an opportunity to embrace their passion for craft beer and use their skills in an engaging workplace.  If you have an eye for detail and the skills and knowledge to brew beer, this may be the opportunity for you.

Now we are looking to fill two Brewer/Cellarperson positions to help us grow our production and build on our reputation for consistent and quality beverages.


Acting under the Head Brewer, the Brewer/Cellarperson will be responsible for brewing and executing scheduled tasks in production.  Here, you will use your experience and passion for making beer in a production setting and follow specific procedures to operate the brewing equipment and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.  Attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be required to ensure quality standards are met.


 


Specifically, you will:



  • Brew batches of beer and soda

  • Prepare grain and ingredients for brewing and for tank additions

  • Clean brewing equipment, fermenters, brite beer tanks

  • Transfer and filter beers and sodas 

  • Manage the temperatures and carbonation levels of tanks

  • Make ingredient additions to batches

  • Perform rigorous quality checks 

  • Complete logbook entries for batch monitoring 

  • Perform general brewery cleaning and sanitization duties

  • Complete other crossover tasks in brewing, packaging, and warehousing as requested by the Head Brewer and/or Operations Manager.  


 


The qualifications for success in this position include:



  • 2+ years experience brewing and working in a brewery setting

  • Experience following standard operating procedures

  • Experience working with pressurized vessels, valves, and pumps

  • An understand and aptitude for continuous improvement

  • A passion for craft beer

  • A keen attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Enthusiasm for a job well done and an overall positive attitude

  • Ability to problem solve and work in an adaptive environment

  • Experience working with chemicals and using PPE equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs 


 


Working at Upstreet:


We are hiring for two full-time positions; one is permanent and one is seasonal lasting for 6 months.  The positions include irregular hours and some evenings and weekends.  We offer an attractive salary commensurate with experience, and a full benefits package and vacation.
