Kickstarter is seeking an Email Coordinator to produce newsletters and system emails, and to help manage email-focused projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate should be passionate about creating highly engaging email campaigns, and should be excited about the impact that email marketing can have. 

About the Team 

This role joins the quickly growing digital marketing team, which manages global user acquisition, retention, and audience development through email marketing, advertising, and content marketing.

About the Role 

The Email Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating content, coding and deploying emails, and post-send reporting and analysis. Candidates should be comfortable with email set-up, testing, and QA-ing, all while working in a fast-paced environment. Kickstarter’s ideal candidate is incredibly organized, able to communicate effectively, and capable of working collaboratively to meet deadlines and produce great work. 

In This Role, You Will: 

  •  Set up emails within SendGrid newsletter tools, including creating and pulling of list from Looker dashboards. 

  • Compile and track ongoing reporting for all email marketing initiatives. 

  • Report on list growth and overall health of the email program; monitor deliverability and list hygiene to ensure optimal inbox placement. 

  • Conduct QA for all email campaigns to ensure that the creative, copy, and links are correct. 

  • Continually use A/B testing and list segmentation to gain new learnings that will ultimately impact how the team optimizes email. 

  • Find process efficiencies by partnering with all necessary stakeholders to improve workflow. 

About You 

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in email marketing 

  • Solid understanding of HTML and working knowledge of inline CSS preferred 

  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM and email marketing best practices 

  • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently with great attention to detail 

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to evolving business objectives 

  • Prior experience with ESP platforms 

  • Basic design skills a plus 

  • SQL experience a plus 

  • Bonus points if you have run a Kickstarter project, backed a Kickstarter project, or supported a creator on Drip
