SPUD.CA is looking for a Delivery Driver, based out of our Vancouver head office/warehouse (1660 Hastings Street) The shift is Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30 am- 3:30 pm, based on a 30 hour averaging agreement. 


What you’ll do


The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring that all product pickups and deliveries are on time according to designated schedules. Reporting to the Delivery/Logistics Manager, they maintain excellent face-to-face relationships with on-site internal and external representatives. An integral role in an internal service department. The efforts of the person in this role help increase the company grow in all markets.

  • Organize daily requirements for fulfilling deliveries

  • Pre and Post trip safety checks of a 3 tonne Hinno truck

  • Loading and unloading 

  • Preparation of paperwork that could include weigh bills, invoices and P.O’s

  • Additional collection of products from various vendors

  • Produce pickups, as required

  • Backing up Mainland Milk Distribution to cover vacations and sickness

  • Backing up SPUD Delivery to cover for vacations and sickness

  • Other duties as assigned

  • On time completion of pickup/delivery route and related tasks

  • Internal SPUD relationship satisfaction

  • Vendor relationship satisfaction


What you’ll receive

  • $16.50 per hour starting wage

  • 20 % discount

  • Extended health care benefits (after the 90 day probationary period)

  • 4% vacation accrual (2 weeks’ accrued after 1 year of employment)

What you'll need

  • Experience working in a supply chain environment

  • Proven proficiency in driving a 3 tonne or larger cargo vehicle

  • Team player

  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken & written English

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proven success at building and maintaining relationships

  • Effective time-management ability, to ensure on-time completion of all tasks

  • Desire to problem solve and improve processes on a daily basis

  • Be available to work overtime when required
